The law states that if a property is built, sold or rented in Northern Ireland it will require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPCs).
The Qualified Energy Assessor will need access to your property. We will liaise with you concerning this, if we you are thinking of selling or renting through Agar Murdoch and Deane.
The EPC is displayed in a coloured graph format and the energy efficiency of the property is graded on a scale of A-G. An EPC lasts for 10 years. You will see an EPC displayed on property marketing material and it will form part of any sales process. It can prove useful for tenants as well.
Failure to comply with the legislation can result in heavy fines being imposed.
